The south of Columbia needs larger roads, infrastructure, banks to loan farmers money, and a railway system to import their produce to the cities if they want to change the current civil war. The farmers have no possibility for income except growing Coca. Who continues this cycle of violence? The United States of America.

I've travelled to the FARC territory. There is no way the cocaine is imported without the complicity of the United States government. The civil war is a direct result of the U.S. The government uses the profits from the drug trade to fund their illegal operations and for profit. FARC, the DEA, the Columbian government, and the U.S. military are used to continue the chaos, destroy the competition, and prosecute the independents.

Whenever there is division in a country one should look at the countries resources and to the United States. The government, while repeating that we live in a democracy and have rule of law, is lawless. There is a level of government in which there are no laws.  The purpose of the military, intelligence agencies, and media is to cover and support big business. In the U.S. that is the privatized military apparatus, drugs, weapons, people, international corporations, and oil.

What Uribe has not understood is that by supporting the U.S. he has been supporting the drug trade. By having the DEA and the military in his country he has enabled the cocaine to be transported to our cities. I have travelled through Central and South America. The countries are patrolled with police and military stops. The thought of an vehicle going from the south of Columbia through the jungle to the cities without inspection I find to be impossible. There is no way the cocaine is being smuggled to the U.S. by the "drug warlords." As anyone that has any knowledge of electronics and the U.S. can attest to, there is no way there are planes or cars are coming over the border with drugs undetected.

The drug war is a war against blacks and latinos who use and sell the drugs imported by the U.S. government, then end up in prison and lose their right to vote.

Americans are asking for Political Asylum...Why don't we hear about it?

There is no country in the world that understands propaganda more than the United States. Billions are spent at the Pentagon on what you hear and repeat. The mainstream news is a psychotronic parade as the democrats bumble and the reporters comment as though they are on the Bush administration payroll.

The truth is not reported. The public responds as a story of importance makes breaking news only to see it squashed in the next 72 hours. Americans are asking for political asylum and you are not hearing about it.

The government is torturing American citizens who are Whistleblowers-  myspace Darren Gelbard, youtube Monarch Katherine Moore, and DIA Topoff to see electronic warfare torturing a U.S. citizen in 2007. Or, for those of you who think these victims are conspiracy theorists, there are the ADS military tests on youtube, 60 Minutes, and CNN. People being hit out of thin air by a ray beam. For real!

Weapons that can harm or kill you from a distance, without leaving marks if the operator so desires, are being used on people in their homes. There are interviews with U.S. citizens who are victims and with a Baghdad surgeon in which he states there are bodies in Iraq he and his team of ten Doctors have seen that are being killed by..."No bullets, no shots..arms cut straight off...we don't know what kind of weapon it is." A Baghdad Orchestra player also stated he saw bodies where..."Only the face was burned, no eyes..and the teeth. The rest of the body was untouched.

The Washington Post released an article called Mind Games in which the victims of psychotronics and V2K described what it was like to have someone mentally and physically torture you using communications and electronic warfare from a distance. And Russia is trying to ban Space weapons after Congress changed the bill that would have banned psychotronics years ago. This is the most dangerous game. Weapons that no individual can defend themselves against. Weapons that manipulate people and that torture and can kill you in your home with no warning from a distance.

STAND UNITED

- Just as many remember that tragic December of nineteen forty-one
So very well as innocence fell to the Rising of the Sun
So shall we allow us to reflect how we felt and thought and mourned
When each clock's ticks rang 8:46 - the time that terror was born -

STAND UNITED
(T. Beechey)

The loss we felt was cruelly dealt as if each had been our own
And they were indeed in the land where freedom rings a single tone
They were us and we were they,in every way their pain was ours
And within us all, upon each heart's wall,we'll forever bear the scars
The image is stained, forever ingrained,on the windows of our minds
The words to express are either too less or impossible to find
Each teardrop shed clearly said what couldn't,by mouth,be told
Upon each cheek, each voice to speak was as one --- young and old:

"We will stand united under candlelighted glow
"Looking straight into the eyes of any uprising foe
"Till each wrong is righted, the candlelighted glow remains
"As a beacon for salvation for a Nation which sustains"

They spoke of a Nation whose Declaration declared now and then
Equality and the right to be free for all women and men
When the smoke cleared, what perservered were strengths within us all
To become as one, second to none,shoulder-to-shoulder,standing tall
From city streets across fields of wheat, the call goes far and wide
If we're to endure,we must ensure our stances side-by-side
And from ocean shores up to the doors where you and I both stay
Arm-in-arm,we'll turn back harm in coming nights and days

"We must stand united against uninvited souls
"Those which toil upon native soil with evil, mindless goals
"Till each is brought to justice,we must preserve our land
"Keeping it free for you and me --- united do we stand"

And,as we move on,they shall live on in every thought and prayer
Each father,mother,sister,and brother and,unto each,I swear
There exists bonds that reach bryond,no boundaries anywhere lie
Reaching onward towards tomorrow, past the sorrow by and by
You shall forever be a part of America's heart and soul
As winds of change rearrange and the tides of time do roll
And,though we can't replace the faces, still your places shall exist
Each twinkling flame shall bear each name, not one will be missed

"We shall stand united, undivided,in our quest
"Finding strength from one another and,to the end,we shall not rest
"We must stand together and weather every storm
"Then we'll hail the unveiling of the rainbow as it forms"

- Just as many remember that fateful November of nineteen sixty-three
In vivid accounts as it was announced that Camelot ceased to be
So shall we recall everything and all we did, were doing, and had done
When terror was born that Tuesday morn,September eleventh two-thousand one -

Subject:9/11 Commission blasts former FDNY/NYPD top brass
Security:Public

NEW YORK - The former police and fire chiefs who were lionized after the World Trade Center attack came under harsh criticism Tuesday from the Sept. 11 commission, with one member saying the departments' lack of cooperation was scandalous and "not worthy of the Boy Scouts."

Commission members, in New York for an emotional two-day hearing, focused on how leaders of the two departments failed to share information effectively in the early frantic moments after two hijacked planes slammed into the World Trade Center.

dear all who may read this,
my name is brian wilcoxon, and for a college essay, i've been asked to write a three to five page paper discussing how the attacks on September 11th have changed american society.

i know this may not be the sight i should ask this question on, but i really need opinions and facts about how you all, as a group, think society has changed. all comments are welcome and will be very well received. thank you all so much for your help!

Hello. My name is Daae and I'm from the tri-state area. I divide my time between central New Jersey and Morningside Heights, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Thank you for this community. As a "New Yorker," it does my heart good to see so many people rally around our city during what has been a really tough year for us all.

I'd like to take a moment to ask you to join my new community, holiday_stress. The holidays invoke feelings of sadness and loss in many people, especially due to the events that have been taking place in our nation. I'm hoping that this community will provide some help and support for people who experience a tough time during the holiday season. If you would like, please feel free to also post a link in your own personal LJ's to this community. I'd like to get the word out to as many people as possible. If this can help just one person, it will all be worth it.

Thank you so much.

More information on holiday_stress, a new Livejournal community:

The loss of a loved one, the degeneration of a relationship, Mother's Day, Father's Day, September 11th, Valentine's Day, the anniversary of a death, a birthday, and most especially perhaps, the "holiday season," Thanksgiving through New Year's, often invokes depression, extreme stress and sadness in many people.

This community is here to provide a loving, compassionate, caring and supportive network amongst those who find the traditional holiday season, as well as other times of the year that are especially meaningful, difficult to handle.

All are welcome to join. Feel free to share your story, or perhaps you'll find solace through simply listening to other people.

COMMUNITY RULES

1. No one will be discriminated against on account of their gender, race, religion, class, background, etc. I love you all, you all love each other. End of story.

2. I have no patience for people who play "I Can Top Your Tragedy." The purpose of this community is not one big whiney "My Problems Are So Much Bigger Than Your Problems" fest. If you have the attitude of "My issues are greater/more tragic/deserve more attention because I lost a parent/a best friend/a pet iguana and So-and-So only lost her cousin/sibling/cat," then I will eject you from the community and make horrible faces at you through my computer screen. All issues and problems will be respected with equal value. We're here to support each other, not to make things worse. Please keep that in mind.

3. If you are old enough to type, then you are old enough to refrain from throwing a hissy fit if someone disagrees with your opinion respectfully. You are also old enough to be able to disagree with someone in a polite enough way so as not to invoke hissy fits in other people. I quit working with children because I couldn't take the tantums; I'm not about to deal with them for free right here. Since I can't duct tape your mouth shut, I'll be free with the ban button if I feel you can't put a lid on it.

4. Listen to each other. Perhaps we'll all be able to learn something, help someone, make it all a little easier...
